In 2016 Etruria Boat Group has also received a Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) Sharing Heritage grant to run an exciting project, ‘Brindley 300 in North Staffordshire’, a James Brindley 300th Anniversary Project. The project brought to life heritage material about the canal pioneer’s life and achievements through the creation of original music and performances and the production of an illustrated trail showing the places in North Staffordshire that help to tell Brindley’s story. Copies of the trail will be given out at this year’s festival.
